We at the Child Dignity Alliance are proud to present the launch of our Technical Working Group’s (TWG) first report. Chaired by Australian eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman-Grant, the TWG was charged with examining the role of technology in combatting the proliferation of online child sexual exploitation and abuse imagery. Its formation enabled nine of the world’s foremost online safety and child protection experts, influencers and leaders to collectively bring a laser focus to bear on this issue and highlight what can be done to more effectively combat online child sexual abuse.
The culmination of 6 months work, the group’s report contains a total of 15 recommendations, relating to proposed initiatives for government, law enforcement and industry, as well as recommendations for joint initiatives across sectors. The event will consist of a panel moderated by Prof. Richard Wortley, Professor of Crime Science at the Jill Dando Institute of Security and Crime Science at UCL. The panel will consist of working group members Baroness Beeban Kidron, Julie Inman-Grant and John Carr, who will focus on government, law enforcement and industry recommendations respectively.
